Houston Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers
The Houston Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers group is the oldest active social group for sci-fi and fantasy writers. Founded in 2004, the group has been through many ups and down, changes in leadership, and location changes over the years but it has always provided a welcoming space for emerging and established science fiction, fantasy, and horror writers in Houston. They currently meet twice a month at Melange Creperie in the Heights, and offer social hours, critique groups, and write-ins. Dallas Fiction Writers
Daphne created Dallas Fiction Writers in 2025. They host monthly meetups and write-ins for fiction writers in the Dallas area. This is a low-pressure environment to connect with other authors and discuss writing and books. Talk about your writing process, your favorite books, your struggles with plot holes, or that fun worldbuilding detail you are so excited about!
